May He Rest in Peace
Personality & Clockwork
< >Cedric is a near-copy of Harry Potter, with Hufflepuff flair. Can't you see Cedric Diggory and the Chamber of Secrets? I certainly can. He's a daring teenager with hopes and dreams, he is a person of great integrity, and he fights for what he believes. Cedric is a great character who is truthful, understanding, and is honorable, literally, to the death. He is gentle, only rough around the edges where he should be, and no one can truthfully say a bad word about him. He's also very innocent to the world and I think that fact alone made it why his death was so terrible. He embodied a light-heartedness, an honesty and trust was so endearing, even in the short time we knew him, that when his flame was snuffed out, it brought many of us to tears for the loss of such a luminous, illustrious light.
Intelligence
< >Like I said before, I think Cedric is basically the Hufflepuff version of Harry Potter (hrm, would that mean there's a Slytherin and Ravenclaw Harry Potter? Perhaps we shall see . . .). He's an athlete, but that doesn't mean he's a jock. He is nice, kind courageous individual. And like Harry, although not Hermione Granger-brainy, Cedric is a sensible and sharp student who can do amazing things. Somewhat unlike a typical Hufflepuff. ;-)
Appearance
< >I don't hesitate to call him a "Ladies' Man," but he's also a modest one. Cedric attracts the girls because he's very good looking. Slim and muscled from several years of Quidditch, nice facial features, probably nice eyes, and a tidy mop of hair. His appearance attracts many, but also brings in other people wanting to be his friend. He is a seemingly smart kid with an honest face, and is ready to be anyone's friend, no real questions asked.
Family
< >We don't know much about Cedric's mother (except, of course, that she grieves for her son), but we do know about Amos Diggory. Amos Diggory works in the Ministy of Magic alongside Arthur Weasley (if I'm not mistaken, in the Magical Creatures department). He is obviously a loving father, but worries a lot that his son isn't working to his full potential. While this is certainly okay, Amos has no idea how gifted Cedric is, or is too caught up in the moment to see it. He continually is telling Cedric to, how, and why he must beat Harry, and unfortunately is too focused on the overall goal to realize that Cedric just being in the Triwizard Tournament is a special and wonderful accomplishment. I worry that Cedric felt, right before he died, as he took things in during those fleeting last seconds, that he hadn't gratified his father. That thought rather scares me, and I pause to wonder about the homelife and expectations Cedric had to face while he was alive.

< >There isn't much of a calling for pairs with Cedric because of his truly unfortunate demise, but I have seen him also eerily paired up Harry Potter. A friend of mine and I also paired him up with Dobby the House Elf a long time ago, but that's a completely different story and it will not be discussed here. ::turns bright red as a curly-haired girl who sort of resembles an elf shakes with mirth in the background:: Remind me to hit her next time. < >He is, of course, almost always paired with Cho Chang; mainly because they were a couple in Harry Potter and a Goblet of Fire. In Fandom, Cedric, rather unfortunately, is actually not written about too much.
